I want to edit photos like they do in that Dove commercial. Is there a free photo editor that has similar cool features?

A year or two ago, I installed Windows XP SP2 onto my comp. My comp was originally booting from C, but I downloaded and installed from D. It set up another OS choice when it boots, and now I have 2 choices when I start (before SP2, after). The before version's mouse never works. SO now I want to install a Linux in its place. Can I do it from my D version (after, the one w/ mouse working)? I think that if I download the OS to my C drive, and I install it to there too, it should work, but I want to make sure. I don't want to lose all my info.

My iTunes used to be able to. Once I upgraded my iTunes it all started going only to my Shared folder. So now when I empty my shared files, the songs wont play in iTunes anymore. BTW, I know it's because the files gone.

I have two programs that I use to scan my computer:

!. Registry Cleaner - I t scans the registry, for incorrect entries, values left by removed programs. Things of this nature just in the registry.

2. Norton System Works - which scans registry as well as other areas as well.

My question, are there any conflicts between the two programs? Are they scaning the same areas and coming up with totally different results...or should they both have the same results?

I was making an AMV on WMM and it it really good and it saves as a project just fine but when I try to save it to my computer it stops at 46% and from there the "Estimated Time Remaining" just goes up. I tried again like three times, then restarted my computer and tried again, and I tried leaving it on all night and when I woke up I checked on it and it was STILL on 46% but the "Estimated Time Remaining" was up to 589 minutes remaining. I don't want to have to start all over because I worked long and hard on it and I know I won't be able to do it again that well, much less have enough time. Does anybody know what is/could be wrong with it?

I finally found a version of Linux I really like, but I have to admit I don't know if I'm able to install it on my machine.

Whenever I hear about secondary operating systems, they're always installed at the same time as the primary OS, and on a fresh non-partitioned hard disk. I'd really rather not reformat my computer, and (since it came preloaded) I don't have the installation discs for Windows XP anyway. Is there any way for me to just clear up and partition a segment of my HD, and install the new OS?

I know some Linux devotees like to sneer at guys like me, but cut me a break. I'm trying.

Ok, my cell phone will let me record sounds as a .qcp file, but will not let me use them as ringtones. If I could convert them to a .midi file I would be able to. Is there any sort of program or website that can do this? Or maybe a place where I can download .midi files for free? I'm tired of paying $2 for a ringtone when I could make my own.

I got ahold of a old computer from school, but the OS is locked out "it needs to be connected to the computer network to get anywhere"

It currently has windows 98 on it, but i only have a windows xp disc. it only has 5567MB of space. im considering linux, but i dont know squat about that.

I need this computer for a mod thing im doing, i DO NOT WANT TO SPEND ANY MONEY. what do i do?

I have the new Windows Vista on the way through mail. When I download this new software onto my computer. Does this mean my video games (such as the Sims2) will not play on my computer anymore? It only provides information that the video game only works with Windows XP. I thought maybe the Maxis Coporation just hasn't included the Windows Vista into there selection. Will there be any other alterations such as the dilima with the video game?

please DO NOT say limewire. Despite what other people say. Limewire is unsafe, basic or Pro. Eventually you'll get a virus or even worse Trojan. What's a Safer program for music and music videos, etc.

so, if i open paint is just is blank and says not responding. When i click exit it says "this program is not responding. click end now to end now. if u do u may lose any unsaved data" and so on. it does this every time and it has been happening for like 2 months. any suggestions on how to fix it? thanks.

I copy mp3 and other files to my card I use on my cell phone treo 700w.. now I been gettign this msg.. ""Cannot copy (file name) : The directory or file cannot be created."" why! i can copy the file all around my computer but the card wont let me copy it!! I already check the write protected crap its off !! I have over a gig left on the card.. first person who gives me info that helps will get best answer!
