My PC is assembled one with Cd-writer.what software components i require to have so as to burn cds.?

None, it's built in.

Drag the files you want to your CD-RW drive and select burn files to disk.

If you want to copy a CD, then copy it to your computer. Put it in your burn folder and burn it back.

If your PC is running XP, basic burning is built-in.

Go to Start > Help and Support and Type "CD" into the search box for instructions to copy data to a CD.

For Music, open Media player and choose the Burn Tab.
