How do you get iTunes to actually copy music you drag in from Limewire to your iTunes Music Folder?

My iTunes used to be able to. Once I upgraded my iTunes it all started going only to my Shared folder. So now when I empty my shared files, the songs wont play in iTunes anymore. BTW, I know it's because the files gone.

LimeWire's Options have an setting to automatically add the files to your iTunes Library:

Or in your iTunes File menu, select "Add to Library" and import the files to your library.

Ok, you need to have both limewire and itunes running. After you have downloaded the songs on to lime wire, click a song, HOLD DOWN, and drag the song onto the itunes bar (at the bottom of the screen). You still need to be holding on to the song(dont let go of the button yet!!) Now once your on the program itunes with the song you are still holding, point to "Library" and it will highlight it self. WAIT until the little "no smoking sign" (thats what i call it) is gone and when the arrow shows up, let go on the button. IT should now be in your library. now just click MUSIC and i think that should work. Let me know if i helped!!! Thx!

What I do is the following. Even thou Itunes rconizes the limewire play list, I open and resize both Lime wire and Itunes. I highlight all my songs that are in my download on lime wire and drag them over to my Itunes music file. It goes through the scrolling copying message and then I delet them from Lime wire. all my music is in my Itunes library. I do not use the limewire file that is in Itunes. It does not work as I think it should. Hope this helps.

Click on the advanced tab at the top of the window, then click on consolidate library. This will copy all of your music to your iTunes music folder.
