My brother in law gave me his disk to use and i need to upgrade it to at least 10 to use my library's ebook's. Can anyone help?

When I do that, it would just unhighlight itself. If I want to delete something that is highlighted, I'd have to press "del". It didn't used to do this before and now it does. It drives me crazy! How do I change this?

We have 2 computers one is connected to the internet and the second one is not. we recently downloaded AVG and the one connected to the internet updated automitacally, now can we download the update and run it on the computer which is not connected to the internet? do you know the source to download the update?

Many websites with graphic designer resources have downloadable brush packs for Photoshop.

I know how to make brushes, and I've made a set that I would like to turn into one of those brush packs for others to download and use, a single .ABR file. How would I go about doing that after I've made my brushes?

I saw a friend of mine's computer and when he turned it on, depending on the time of day, it would say either, "Good Morning Wade", "Good Afternoon Wade" or "Good Evening Wade" and I was wondering what program or programs would I need in order to get this done. Free programs would work the best. THanks if you can answer this for me, have been searching for a while and have no clue how to do this.

I recieved my Windows Vista Express Upgrade today and found out it was a DVD. I only have a CD-ROM in my computer so it won't work. I noticed on the Microsoft website that after you purchase you just enter in the Product Key to download. Does anyone know if I can just go to a website and enter in my Product Key to download Vista so it doesn't go to waist? Thanks.

I pretty much narrowed my problem to needing VM but i cannot download it from microsoft becuase they do not support it anymore. I went to the sin java site and have those software installed but i still have problems. Anybody know of a good alternative to microsoft VM that i can use?

I added some extra text after the endnote section by inserting a section break. However, when I tried to change the page following the endnote from "portrait" to "landscape", the last page of my endnote section gets changed to "landscape" as well when I wanted to keep it as "portrait". Would anyone know how to do this without affecting the page setup?
I guess the important thing is that my endnote page is one and a half page long (so, takes up two pages), and i wanted the page following this to be landscape, but the last page of the endnote gets changed too whenever i change the last page from portrait to landscape.

Hi! I am trying to convert a pagemaker file (newsletter) to PDF. It looks perfect in pagemaker but when it converts to PDF, some of the titles of the articles are missing or are in wierd places (like in the middle of the article), some of the pictures are misplaced, some of the words are missing etc. What should I do? Please help in any way - THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

1st sheet: On the first sheet, I have a gigantic list of policies and their commission rates. For example: Policy 1: 1st yr commission rate= 8%, 2nd year=4% and 3rd year=3%.

My task is to calculate the commisions earned each fiscal year, based on the commision rate of different policies
In sheet 1:
So if my boss types in the name of the policy, the formula I use should calculate the commission earned automatically, by using the respective commission rates for THAT policy for the first 3 years.

I know the basic excel stuff, but I really dont know how the approach this task! Please Help! Thanks a million!!

My computer keeps freezing every 10 to 20 minutes, the mouse stops working, the (clock timer still goes) but everything else just freezes. control alt delete doesn't work, so I have to keep manually pressing the off button to restart. How do I fix this..? It never happened before..

Everytime my system boots now it wants to go to Windows Vista even though I chose not to install it on one of my machines. How do I remove the partial installation. It's not only annoying, I can't even press F8 to go into Safe mode in XP.

Can not play my tunes. Media player says it can find volume
control. I am 99.9% I deleted it off my computer.
Was doing a little add/remove. Only wanted some files removed
but it jump on all the attached files to. One being my volume control file. I have Windows ME. If you know where I can go
and down load this file please let met know.
I do have 360 share pro so my be if you could down load a copy
of your volume control and send it to there I can up load and them down load to my hard drive.
I know this is not going to be easy but I have a lot of songs
that I need to down load but need to hear them first.
Hope some one can help.

I need a timer thats shareware/freeware or atleast a trial but it needs to beep or buzz or make some kind of loud noise every 45 seconds so I know when to switch to different crunches. So when that 45 seconds is up it beeps but keeps going and counts down from 45 seconds again? Anyone know a program that will do that or that you can configure to do? Any help would be much appreciated!
