Everytime my system boots now it wants to go to Windows Vista even though I chose not to install it on one of my machines. How do I remove the partial installation. It's not only annoying, I can't even press F8 to go into Safe mode in XP.

It may have already written itself to the boot record. If that's the case, boot off your XP CD and go into the repair console and try fixmbr or fixboot (I think either will work here), then reboot (after taking out the CD) and see if that fixes it.

Insert the XP CD and restart. Instead of installing, just format the Vista partition.
