when i try to install ISScript a box occurs and tells : The windows installer service could not be accessed this can occur if you are running windows in safe mode or if the windows installer is not correctly installed .
So what to do?
please Help!!!!!!!!!!!!

I usually use Sonic MyDVD to make a video DVD that can be used in most DVD players. It has a nice little menu that lays out everything that is on the DVD. The only problem is that it's SLOW AS MOLASSES! I tried Nero 7.0 and it appears to have many more features but still takes around 6 hours to complete one DVD. Is there any programs out there that can do this much quicker? Thanks in advance!

My pc at home is getting old and I realize I need to buy a new one. It has 256 mb ram, 7 gb hard drive, windows 2000, 466 mhz processor. I have tried adding a lot of software to it but that seems to have slowed it down considerably. I bought counter spy anti-spyware, mailwashe anti-spam, avg anti-virus, zone alarm firewall and registry mechanic. Booting up with all these is a very slow, painful process.

i recently bought a router which has a firewall in it.

1) do i really need a router with a firewall AND Zone alarm software firewall?

2) exactly what security-related software do i need?

3) what software do i need in startup? it takes 10 minutes now to boot up

Hi:

I'm running a 2 month old Toshiba, and my trial version of Office 2003 just expired (bummer). I tried the Office 2007 demo, and I don't like it and I'm not sure if I get it, it will actually work for what I need. Does anyone know where I might find an inexpensive upgrade to Office 2003 - I'm looking for $100 - $150 or so max. As an alternative, I would like to transfer my Office 2003 from my old laptop to my new (since I purchased it for the old one, and I'm not using that one any more) - does anyone know how I can do that? TIA.

At work everyone has an employee number. We use excel to log in information, so what I want to know is when I type an employees name on a column, how can I make the number corresponding to that empoyee pop -up on the next coumn once Ive typed their name so I don't have to type the name and the employee number seperately, it will just automatically come up when the name is typed, not next to the name but on the NEXT column. Is there some kind of link or attachement I need to do? Please explain step by step if you know how.

I have a MS Excel spreadsheet that has addresses on it, and I need to print the addresses onto labels that will be put onto envelopes. They are currently in the row/cell format. How do I go about doing this? Is there an option to have the address formatted into labels? Thanks!! :)

The 'Preview' screen saver works. The 'Display Properies' window looks the same as my old computer did. Is there a simple solution that will give me a working screen saver and get my computer to hibernate? With my old computer to start it up after hibernating, all I had do was move my mouse. Now I have to turn it back on manually.
