AVG makes a good free anti-virus and spyware remover. Lavasoft adware remover is also good...and free. Spybot spyware remover is also very good. I'd run more than one spyware remover.

AVG offers great virus protection, and spyware for FREE. other free firewall you can try zonealarm. adware try search and destroy or you can search a free "adaware" program or windows defender

you can use norton antivirus or AVG.according to me you should use AVG because avg protects computer very nicely and also it does not overloads the computer.you can download AVG from www.grisoft.com
and you can download norton from
www.symentec.com
AVG free edition is totally free and as at best now a days.
