... I need to design a flyer that I can take to my local printers to print tomorrow. I want it to be two sided, A5 (postcard size) and I guess I need to be able to save the design as a file extension familiar to printers. Any good applications coming to mind?

I'd suggest using whatever program you're comfortable with to create the initial document. Then you might want to save it as a PDF file if you want printing compatibility. If you don't have a PDF conversion utility, try googling "pdf995" and downloading the corresponding printer driver. Once pdf995 is installed, all you do to create the PDF file is go to print the document, and then select "pdf995" as your driver. Actually, I've had a lot more success creating PDFs this way than by using Adobe's own conversion utility.

Regular postcard size is 4 x 6 in size, if you are doing a full color process, make sure the design is at least 300 dpi. Photoshop is best to use.
If you need a free template, my work offers them when customers ask, I work for a printing company.

The miles will be credited to your account after each flight that qualifies in earning the points. However, you mentioned that you signed up after buying the ticket. In that case, your frequent flyer number may not be attached to your electronic ticket which may cause a delay in crediting the points. To make sure, go view your electronic ticket or your reservation from the airlines' website. You can go to the bottom portion says "Amend the Booking" and add the frequent flyer number.

Publisher comes to mind right away; if you know your stuff - you can use Word pretty easily. Two sided - should be a printer function.
