I attempted uninstalling all of McAfee off of my new laptop, and everything was deleted except for SecurityCenter. I get an error message saying "An error occured while uninstalling McAfee SecurityCenter." Any suggestions?

Is there any program that I can use to take the spywares out of my computer? Because recently, there has been many pop ups and even if I turn on my popup blocker, it still didn't block it. Most of these pop ups, I think came from the spyware because I downloaded Limewire, and a few days after my computer notified me that I have spywares on my computer, eventhough I deleted Limewire, I think those spywares are still there. Please Help ! =(

I have just downloaded Sky Anytime on PC and keep getting the message that it requires an internet connection the very first time it is run.

My internet connection is fine and I have all the requirements needed. I even tried to run it with my firewall disabled and still got the same message so I know it isn't that it is blocking it.

I also used kclean to remove all components and tried downloading again and re-installing but the same message re-appears.

Anyone any suggestions

When I click on the icon to run it the monitor just clicks and goes back to the desktop. I tried starting it from windows explorer (or whatever its called) and it does the same thing..

I've heard an anecdotal evidence that the software industry (including pc software, pc / console games, productivity software, etc.) is orders of magnitude larger than the music / entertainment industry (including music/movies, etc.). So why does the software industry care about copyright of music ? Why pander to the RIAA with "security features" that don't really stop heavy duty copyright violators but annoy regular users?

I didn't just burn the .ISO, I used some ISO burner (software) to burn it. I am going to install it on a different machine that already has Windows on it. I do not want to lose the Windows on it, but I heard I can have both by partitioning or something. How do I know how much to partition, and how do I choose to use Windows or Ubuntu from start up. Also, how do I start the installation? Do I just put the cd in the drive and restart?

I have been enjoying WMP for a few months now. I have installed a plug-in (DFX) to enhance the sound. WMP indeed sounded better after installation. But now, WMP deos not exit completely. When I click Exit, WMP disappears, but it keeps playing in the background. This applies to either music or videos. To close it completely, I had to use the "Windows Task Manager" to end the process. Annoying huhh!! Anyway, I uninstalled and then installed both WMP and the DFX plug-in. And finally I Uninstalled the DFX plug-in totally. I still encountered the same problem with WMP. I even rolled back to WMP 10, but same problem existed. I cleaned up my registry from any broken files/instructions regarding DFX & WMP prior to the Uninstallation process. No such luck! Please help!

While in Iraq I purchased both games except it was feeding frenzy 1 from pop caps games I believe it is called when I changed lap tops the license I had the did not work I have no idea why. I tried to download bearshare but now you can only download music which I am not interested in. Can anyone help? If you need the alchemy,dynomite, and some others let me know. I hope some of you computer gurus outthere can help.

I am having very bad experience with Windows Restore and Norton Ghost. One is terribly slow in the process of saving restore points, one barely restores at all. Is there a recommended software that can easily create restore points and actually do the restoration?
