There is no FREE program out there that will do a decent job, however serial numbers for certain progs are freely available (but this is highly illegal!). I've been converting avi to vob (DVD) for a couple of years now and I recommend ConvertXtoDVD. It is a very simple prog to use (literarly drag and drop) but you can also easily add menu's and background pics to your menu. I have tried using many other progs, but for quality and speed this is the best I've come across. And for all those people who think that WinAvi is better...nonsense!

Hope this is of help to you.

Most DVD recording software will do this for you. I recommend Nero burner which is not free but try www.download.com for something that could be free.
