No, not if they are just installed. If you run two at the same time, you might see a little slowing, but not as much as you would see with many web pages open at the same time.

I have six browsers. (I design websites; need them all for testing; just copies of "executables" laying around...) The only ways they'd slow down your system are (1) if you're running really short on disk space and a new one really brings your available disk space close to full and/or (2) if you run the browser(s) so that they automatically start at system startup time and run all the time. (Both (1) and (2) I doubt you'll do...I didn't!)

I've run multiple browsers for years. I prefer Firefox but some sites still work better in Internet Explorer. I keep both and frequently have both open at the same time.

i ran 3 browsers at the same time..netscape 7.2,firefox 2.0 and IE 7.0...each browser took around 24000 k memory space.my computer has good specs so it can take huge loads.if ur computer has less RAM then running multiple browsers will surely slow down ur computers performance.But running them indipendently at different times will not affect the computer.
