I didn't just burn the .ISO, I used some ISO burner (software) to burn it. I am going to install it on a different machine that already has Windows on it. I do not want to lose the Windows on it, but I heard I can have both by partitioning or something. How do I know how much to partition, and how do I choose to use Windows or Ubuntu from start up. Also, how do I start the installation? Do I just put the cd in the drive and restart?

When you put in the CD you restart your PC. When ubuntu opens it will help you with partition it. At start up it will ask if you want windows or Ubuntu. The process only takes at most 30 minutes.
