Everyone seems to have them... I have never heard of anyone ever BUYING something made by Microsoft... Maybe it's the fact that I had to pay nearly £400 just for Office 2007 the other day... I guess that puts lots of people off of it... so how do they expect to make money?

I found out that my computer model has a problem with a Window update, and they had a patch for it. But, when I try loading it, it says I don't have that file on my computer. Im about 97% positive that its not Spyware, Viruses, or anything along the lines. I had this problem for about 4 days, which I then redid windows. I loaded my programs in, everything worked normal. I downloaded all the updates, and now, when I load something, my computer runs at 100% and hangs. It came down to 0% for a second, which then everything that was loading or shutdown, did so, then I tried doing something on one of the programs, and it went to 100% again. So, I tried restarting, and it wouldn't do anything. So I shut it down. When it reloaded, it only loaded the background. I opened task manager and it said system Idle with about 10 things going. I shutdown all the ones I didn't need, nothing. So I restarted, it took about 30 minutes to Save Settings. Then it restarted, and had an error...

well, i cant find the volume control, i tried the control panel and sounds and audio devices, and it just not there, what do i do??, it says that the volume control program hasnt beeen installed?

like when i see videos [like youtube.com] and i can see the video but i cant hear.
i have a windows xp, and well, a disc comes with it and says disc recovery, im gona use it but has this happened to anyone lately??
but i dont know how to install it back, how should i install it?? help anyone?

Before, to transfer songs from LimeWire to iTunes, all I needed to do was click the song in Lime Wire twice (when it was 100% downlaoded) and it would appear in iTunes. But, lately it has not been doing that. Now I click it twince and it appears to play in Winamp. What is wrong? How can I get it to play back in iTunes instead of the Winamp program? PLEASE I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!

I need to know something about SW apps' (such as Acrobat) interaction w/OS. Suppose I have a brand new OS that Adobe has not made any accomodations for. How easy/hard is it to be able to run something like acrobat (for viewing) running on that. Can a converter be written w/o having to contact Acrobat.
If someone can educate me about the OS interaction in general or point me in the right direction, that would be awesome!

i download flash player 9 from adobe but it won't work i click on the download button a window comes saying install adobe flash player and that's it flash player 9 still is not installed but i go to add or remove programs and it shows adobe flash player 9 ActiveX i used the unistaller and tried to install it again but that did not work what should i am using internet explorer 6

I have an Emachine w4885 and It kept restarting so I put in a copy of windows from my dell machine (4500) and it was copying the files and it kept saying could not copy all these .dll files and stuff and ive burnt about 3 diffrent bit-torrent copys of windows xp home and they all give me the same errors, I've herd that its allin the burning speed (the slower the better) but ive burnt one copy at 2x and nothing!!!, PLEASE can someone help?

I can write and read in Arabic but just need to change the menus and dialogue boxes into Arabic. With XP pro, I can install the Arabic MUI, but there is no MUI for the home version. Any ideas?

I have an older (lower memory) computer with Windows 98 on it. I would really like to download a Windows Media Player w/ the different skins and visualizations, but I don't want to take two hours downloading WMP 11 just to find it won't run correctly on my computer. Is there an older version of WMP that would be a better fit for my computer? Any suggestions?

Almost everytime I play a game from a website, it stops responding and says that "The plug in Flash 9.0 was running when error occurred." and then it closes the game window and any IE windows I have open. Anyone know of a way to fix that?
Oh, and I have to have Flash 9.0 to play these games

When i go to download some stuff from limewire i get a bunch of "fake" files...files that dont download, they try to connect but never connect, and wind up saying "need more sources". Most of the files say that there is over 100+ users that have that file....is there anyway to fix this?
