When i go to download some stuff from limewire i get a bunch of "fake" files...files that dont download, they try to connect but never connect, and wind up saying "need more sources". Most of the files say that there is over 100+ users that have that file....is there anyway to fix this?

Nope. Either take what you can get or use itunes and don't run across that kind of problem.

One thing you should do in Limewire's Options is to set it for 4-5 star search results. This helps to filter out most of the junk that's out there that people store in their "shared" folder. The higher the numbers are next to the stars the better your chances of getting the download and faster as well because more will have it and are online at the time of the search result.
Be wary of small (875kbs) application downloads...most of these are Trojan Droppers...and yes, a bunch of dummies out there download them and keep them in their shared folder totally unaware that they've been infected already and are spreading it to others as well...
#1 Rule: Always, always, always scan everything you download (even mp3 files) BEFORE opening it up or clicking on it!!!

My Dear Friend,

First of all, Limewire is Hard Spyware. It will demolish your entire computer system and throw all your personal information on share...I request you NOT TO USE LIMEWIRE AT ALL. Now, If U have already installed, then UNINSTALL NOW.

Better to use Bit-torrent software or more better buy a affordable CD/DVD.

Take care of your computer more...It will take care of you in coming days.

Expecting Success...Always.

There is no way to correct this. It never happened to me, though. I'd say you try to download another file, like the song white and nerdy.

Good luck!

I think some music company do that, to help slow down the piracy that there is. By uploading fake files of music.

Nope. Look for other sources and use the filters to get rid of junk files... also, if you do get something that turns out to be junk, use the junk option to lest the rest of us know
