Please. help me i really dont know what to do .
Is Window vista better ?

I'm converting some old VHS movies (recorded off of TV) to DVD. I'm using a Panasonic VHS/DVD recorder, with Sony DVD+RW discs.

I take the disc and go through the whole editing process to get rid of the commercials, using the Video Compilation tool under Disc Copier in Roxio Creator 8 on my computer. My O/S is Windows XP SP2 and there's plenty of RAM.

Everything goes as it's supposed to until I want to burn my creation to DVD. I place a blank DVD+RW disc in my Sony DVD burner (which comes with sample Nero software, btw). Then I click on "Burn" where it pulls up a small window indicating the phases it has to go through. It's then when I get the error message, "Unspecified Error [0x80004005]" and stops the burn process.

Never mind that I also get the "Roxio...has encountered an error and needs to close" messages when I try to use anything else in the software suite. I can't get anyone to help me at Roxio Support.

Any solutions or suggestions as to the possible problem?

i have more then 1 programs running and would like to set specific volumes for each. like when im playing music i like it high but then i am also running other programs like yahoo pool and would like to have diffrent volumes for each. IS THIS POSSIBLE?

I'm using MS Word 2002 and my rulers for the top and bottom of the display have disappeard. Can someone guide me in getting them back? I'm using the Print Layout View which I have used all along.

When I turn off my machine, I don't ever know what gonna happen. Sometimes it's just gonna turn itself off, but sometimes it doesn't.

when I start the machine again, there's no error. Is that a good sign?

Is there a way to fix that?
Is it harmful?

I did ctr+alt+del, and there are not that many processes running. I looked online and they are not spyware.

Also, when I looked at services tab (msconfig command), the following are the processes that are there (I'm not including the ones that are labeled under Microsoft Corporation Manufacturer because and I'm thinking those are necessary)

If I download a copy of Microsoft Windows XP will it ask for a product key? I did it one other time and it didn't work cause it wanted a product key. Is there anyway to get around not using the product key or any torrent that has the product key included? Thanks

NEC 19 inch monitor?

I just set up an new monitor (Christmas present), It took a lot of twicking to get it to look the way I like . Finally everyting is the right size and color except my mouse cursor is so small it gets lost most of the time and is a pain to find. How can I make it larger?

OK this is a strange one. I am using WINDOWS XP HOME edition Service Pack 2

I recently downloaded DVD Decrypter and Videora iPod converter based on an answer I recieved on this website. I loaded a DVD and used the decrypter. I chose to add all sections of the DVD. The problem however, is that I can't seem to find what to use to convert in the iPod converter. If anyone knows of a thorough guide or a step by step process I would greatly appreciate it.
