To uninstall Internet Explorer 7 to return to Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP

Click "Start," and then click "Control Panel."
Click "Add or Remove Programs."
Check "Show Updates" at the top of the dialog box.
Scroll down the list and highlight the version of Internet Explorer 7 that you are running, and then click "Change/Remove."

I don't know what all the hype was about, IE7 sucks big time, I was in the same situation. I just stopped using it, try Opera its way faster than IE7, even firefox is better. To go back to IE6 you'll have to uninstall IE7 and then reinstall IE6, you cant install IE6 if IE7 is on your system.

Press ALT inside IE7. That's gonna get you the menu back. Then, to keep it, select VIEW | TOOLBARS and check the MENU BAR option.

Just uninstall IE7 and it will automatically go back to IE6. No fluff and no questions.
