Word 2002 Rulers Missing?

I'm using MS Word 2002 and my rulers for the top and bottom of the display have disappeard. Can someone guide me in getting them back? I'm using the Print Layout View which I have used all along.

Here's what Microsoft says:

Show or hide the horizontal ruler
To view the horizontal ruler across the top of your Word document, you must be in print layout view, normal view, or web layout view:
On the View menu, click Ruler.
Show or hide the vertical ruler


To view the vertical ruler on the side of your Word document, you must be in print layout view.
On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the View tab.
Under Print and Web Layout options, select or clear the Vertical ruler (Print view only) check box.
