We have Office 2000 running on a Windows 2003 Terminal Server. From the server everything works fine, but when the clients double-click on a Excel or Word file it opens without displaying any file. However when I open up Excel or Word and go to File, Open and open the document from there it works fine. Also when a user tries to open a Excel attachment from Outlook it does the same thing, but also shows an error message "The System cannot find the file specified". I have done a lot of research on this, but I can't find the solution.

I've tried excel /unregserver, excel /regserver.
I've tried to uncheck the "Ignore Other Applications" checkbox in Excel - Tools, Options, General Tab.

I'm stumped, and any help would be very much appreciated.

I have been trying to get movies ripped into my computer so I can take scenes for my other no-linear editing hobby. I know about dvdencripter...that generally seems to work getting it onto my computer...but what format is best to use and why? How can I get the files into smaller peices so that my memory can handle it.

I possess a laptop, with windows xp home edition and license (complete with sticker and access key etc)...I don't possess a Windows Home XP DIsk.

I need to reinstall windows on this laptop (the operating system on it wont let me perform restores etc), so I was wondering what is the ways and means of legally getting or creating a xp disc, and using it under the license on the laptop?
