I took some movie shots with my digital camera & am wondering if anyone knows some free software that will enable me to view it frame by frame to copy as just a jpeg picture?

you can play your video in vlc player and then right click and select the snapshot option, it will take a pic for you and store it in the my picture folder...vlc player is a free software
otherwise you can obviously use windows movie maker, there is an option to take snapshots

u can do this in following softwares:
Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0, Ulead Video Studio 10, Ulead MediaStudio Pro 8.
if u have a apple mac, u can do what ever you want in Final Cut Pro software.
