Here is the problem. I tried to make a separate user account for my wife and switched her to "limited user" after creating my own account as the "system administrator". I then logged off while still on my wifes specified account. I tried to log back in to log on to my account to realize there was still only one account. And here is the kicker. I can only log on as a "limited user" with that account. So now I cant download, update, or system restore to correct the problem as a "limited user". I tried to XP trouble shoot but couldnt find a solution. I figured I would ask you guys before I wiped my comp. Any ideas?

Is windows Vista the Operating System like windows Xp or Millenium or is it just the upgrade for Xp..i have "Vista Inspirate"(when i run its exe it only upgrade Xp with good and attractive themes)...So can u tell me What is difference b/w Windows Vista and Vista Inspirate...??im bit confused...if its OS then im surely gonna get it..thanx for help

I used to listen to radio online and clips using windows media player, but now i can't. Nothing happens or it says the link is missing or something. Have you hever had that problem? Any suggestions?
(Don't tell me to use real player because the web I like is just for WMP)

I know there is a way to do it; I have'nt found it yet. I found a "speedometer" that tells you CPU usage and ram usage but I can't find an applet that tells me: Programs currently running. On the sign in screen I get a prompt that says "X number of programs running."

I often put my machine into hibernate mode. A couple times a week, I close everything down and reboot from scratch. This morning I did this, opened Outlook (Firefox wasn't loaded, at least not a window of it) and this window popped up asking me if I wanted to import bookmarks. I thought that was strange (I wasn't sure what program was asking me to do this as the only running visibly running was Outlook) and I pressed cancel. Then I later open Firefox and it's as if I had never installed it before. All my settings, plug-ins, bookmarks, history, etc is ALL gone. I haven't done any updates to firefox in a while and I'm up to date v1.5.0.7. What's the deal and can I recover my bookmarks?

ok here is the problem,
when i listen to music in iternet explorer i can hear the sound,
but when i listen to it in in firefox, i don't hear the sound.
what's the problem?

I think I clicked on one of those stupid automatic upgrade windows that kept popping up and upgraded to (maybe) version 7 for the Adobe Reader thing. A few days ago PDFs were no problem. Should I maybe uninstall and try to get an older version back on? Does Adobe have a site I could download from? Thanks for your answers!

What should I do I have tones of anti virus things in this computer and its a brand new Windows XP Dimension E510 a lot of times the screen freezes and I try to exit out is says Program Error or if I try to do something on Java it says Java(TM) Error ive tried downloading it but it freezes up and it has the Program Not Responding thing on again I Dont know whats wrong with this thing but I know virus protection wont work because I have all of those things

i have xp media center edition and i want to install windows 98..but when im installing win 98..this error appreared:

I DOWNLOADED WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 9, AND BEFORE MY SOUND WAS WORKING FINE AND AFTER THE INSTALLATION IT QUIT WORKING. SO ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR WHAT I SHOULD DO, OR IS THIS COMMON. ANY HELP WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED.
