Software - August 2006

Alright, I formatted my parents computer and I guess I used my XP disc too much and it said I need a new key for it to stay on, I have 25 days left so I was wondering if anybody has a key I could use? Its Windows XP Home Edition SP2. If anyone could help me out, that would be great! I'll give 10 points to someone who can give me a right key that will work!

I understand it can be found in Windows XP pro and as a ValueAdd in home edition.

Nonetheless, I have the window backup program but have not used it.

Can someone shed any light on the matter? Is it worth messing with?

All I want to backup is "My Documents" which contains all of the family photo's as well as various documents I've saved to this site over the years.

after my computer starts up and all other thing have started up ie msn, the window that show u what in on ur hard drive ie, programs file and so on, u now when u go into my computer then u can open ur C: that open all by itself, how would i be able to close it or stop that from happing.

any help would be great, thanks

the registry entries deleted ?

Like, what if I go in there and delete them? I know it could **** up the comp, but why?

If a program is not on your comp any more, why does it still live on in registry entries?

I emailed the company and they say it works it is just me. I have tried it on several computers and they all do it. The program itself claims to be easy but I am left frunstrated everytime I have attempted to use it. I asked for a refund and they laughed in my face. I am just wondering if anyone ever got it to work and if so how? Big time buyer beware here!

My computer will soon be heading to gateway so my motherboard can be fixed. I want to take the installed programs on my hard drive and transfer them to another pc. Then when my pc finally comes back from gateway i want to transfer the programs back to the original pc. Can this be done? Would it be a good idea or just not worth it.

i need an operating system on my pc, i want to get microsoft windows xp. however, when i went to purchase one it got quite confusing, i saw some that were Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Upgrade with Service Pack 2

not sure what upgrade means since im not really upgrading anything, i have no os.

I am trying Mozillas Firefox simply to get away from MSN Explorers many periodic freezes. I need to bedo a few things to make it work.
1. I have two MSN email addresses I check frequently. I get one just by clicking on Tools/Email. It boots my MSN and I have access to all my folders to store messages. (I think I am really using MSN Explorer though and it will no doubt soon freeze and cause me to wait 15-45 seconds). My question is how do I get my other MSN email address to come up inside Mozilla Firefox? It would be best to have a single tab or link to use and be able to delete or store each message as I read them. Can this be done?

The second question is where do I save and select web site URL's I frequently visit and can they be organized?

(Please specific on how to set these two things up as I do not know my way around these things very well).

Can Excel automatically delete data from one worksheet when the same data is entered on another worksheet in the same workbook? I have an "In Inventory" on one sheet and an "On Order" on another sheet. Can Excel automatically delete the entry from the "On Order" sheet when the same information is entered into the "In Inventory" sheet? And if so, how or can you point me to instructions?

windows me. hit cntrl/alt/delete & box is blank. shows 1 blank rectangle[filled with white] which can be deleted. the blank rectangle disappears, the box is white & then i can only shut down.
seems i need an explorer program running.
any clues?
