I got a 2nd email notification that my lucky numbers were chosen to win a large amount of money sponsored by Red-Dot.com. They claim its a coca-cola lottery. Anyone heard of this. They are asking for personal info, but no banking info.

I'm not that I.T. savvy, so I leave my question to the pros.

I have a Mac and PC laptop connected to a cable modem/router. I have hi-speed internet. If the computer's aren't on, can they get a virus/spyware? Should I unplug the connections when I am not using them?

Might be a "duh" question.....but again, I'm not that savvy.

note: I do have Norton 07 and Spyware protection.

it goes away.
and then comes back.

my notebook computer affected ''rontokbro' virus.i have mcafee antivirus program.its delete infected files.but i cant see my ''folder option' in my tools menu & control panel.

When I log on to the computer I get a message that says your computer could be at risk and the balloon takes me to microsoft windows which has the firewall, anti-virus screen. It is turned on. Should this be turned off? It says Norton is off but it is on. Very confusing.

i recently acquired it so in frustration, i had my pc reformatted... but when i connected into the internet today to update my anti-virus(AVG) and anti-spyware(spybot), the 2nd time i opened ie, my homepage reset to quicknews.info again.. my task manager's already disabled and i don't know what to do... should i do a virus scan in safe mode or something?? please help asap

When I turn on my computer I get this message. Then it says do I want to continue? If I say no the question repeats itself. and then disappears when I answer no again. I have windows xp and have at&t DSL. I believe the computer is set up to accept automatic updates. I use the avg free edition for virus, lavasoft and spybot for adware. When I go to the microsoft help page there is no reference to this type of warning. Any ideas as to what is going on?

This is an internet cheating.I placed an order to Think All through internet and gave them my Credit Card Number as per their requirement.They withdrew the amount from my account, three months ago but have so far not sent me anything.They are not even giving any reponse. I just recently uninstalled norton internet security, and installed kaspersky, and zonealrm. Problem is one of these programs keeps blocking all my downloads, well not all of them. Everytime I try to download from megaupload, sexuploader, (it's the same thing as megaupload) gigasize, and rapidshare, my downloads always pause. Even today when I tried updating yahoo anti-spy, it also paused, but when I disabled both software the downloads work perfectly. With kaspersky I disabled both the web anti-virus and proactive defense, but my downloads still pause. So it has to be zonealarm, can someone help me on this?

Hi,

I have 10 users using the same “Mail Box” in outlook express. If anybody is unchecking the “Leave a copy on Server” the mail is getting downloaded in his computer. Rest of the users is unable to see the message.

I have to manually verify each computer to find on which computer setting is lost. Is there a way to restrict user from making changes in the settings of Outlook express.

I am having window 2000 Pro as operation system
