If its a virus, you can download and install any one of the numerous virus checkers out there. However, that sounds more like the monitor is just dying, or the cable isnt fully connected. If you happen to have another monitor, try plugging it in and see if it gives you the same issues. If so, take a look at the virus option.

Your monitor has a serious problem, definitely not a virus... Have it open and checked, a technician will adjust it for you it is located at the back. Refrain moving your monitor when it's on. A soft tapped on sides works well for me when the color of my monitor changes...hehehe

yea, you got one. I just got rid of one. first i went & bought spysweeper. witch seemed to work, but then again not really. I ended up taking it to Hackers Hideout, which was a place that rebuilds computers and had them reinstall windows. It wipes out all your files so your basicly starting over with a new computer. I just couldnt handle the popups & adware. It cost me $50.00 and 24 hours.
Good luck

Sounds to me like you have either a bad video card or monitor. Are you running current antivirus/spyware protection? If you have another monitor available to use try and switch them around.

Hello Paige,
You don't have a virus. You have a video card going bad or loose. Try removing and re-seating your video card. If that doesn't fix it I think you should get a new card.

A lot of times, it will just freeze up or shut down altogether. If you have virus software on your computer, just open it and scan you C drive to check for viruses. :)Hope this helps!
