should I be worried? is there any virus that dose things like this?

go to housecall.trendmicro.com and do a scan and see if any outcome! it could be possable that adware or spyware! what are you using? how did you know there is that much uploading? the program you are using could be some sort of adware or spyware! or a virus attached it self to it!

Definetely there is a virus or software updates, check it with proper antivirus and also check for the software updates options

yes viruses can do this. So can hijacked or hacked computers.

go here and use their free virus scan. if you find something you will need to download the trial version, install it, rerun it to correct the issues.

check your services and any other background tasks. Google each service name you are not familiar with and see what comes up. I think the above answer is the most probable cause (networking issue)
