What options do I have to protect myself from this again and who or what do I contact to report this and have it investigated?

He is my ex and has done this "remotely", meaning he is never in my house or around my computer. I have tried the new account, the new password and changing all of my stuff. It hasn't worked he is still getting into my account.

i would close the account out and tell your hubby that and then reopen another one..and dont get on when hes around so he doesnt know..but i'd hate being in a relationship with a hubby like that..obviously there is more going on or at least he thinks so

I'm surprised that no one mentioned this, but there is the possibility of a keylogger.

you said he's never in your house and is never around, but still accesses your account, despite getting a new one.

I'd advise you to download AVG antivirus (home edition) and run a virus scan.

-Keylogger: Records every keystroke you make and relays it back to their computer.

After you've finished with the scan, THEN change your password.

Federal is one thing but state is another. Search "computer crimes & computer forensics" It may depend what state you live in. Make sure to be aware that if you wipe out your computer, you might be wiping out any evidence that he's done this too. Just a thought. He's probably reading this too, right? You'll need evidence if you want to hold him accountable.

Change your password and security questions. Do not allow him access to any computer you are using. Disable autocomplete and forms from saving your passwords/accounts.

he will constantly be snooping around in the back of your lower back. If he's commencing it now, he will do it constantly. do no longer marry him. i understand for a actuality there's no longer something worse in a marriage than loss of believe. My husband does a similar factor. He knows each and every digital mail, website, and posting that I do. I have not have been given any privateness in any respect. in case you haven't any longer have been given something to stress approximately, stable. yet he will proceed to do it, he's only too insecure in himself.
