Who exactly runs the development for Firefox? that is, which company, or is completely open source? I prefer it over ms explorer for sure.

Does it have Microsoft Word on it? I just bought a new Laptop thinking it would have Microsoft Word, well it didn't and i'm frantically looking for a Word processing software. I found Microsoft outlook 97 in one of my boxes.

I just wrote a long and detailed letter and then pressd send neglecting to notice I was not connected. It was a very important letter and I can't find it in my history. Is there any way to find it? Please could someone be magic and make it re-appear?

Ok basicly I have made 6 seperate tables and some include the same thing for example,

Type of Car, I dont want to have to type into each one the type of car so how can I make it so I type the information in one and it gets placed into all of them.

Same for names =)

I get blue-screened alot and everytime i try to burn a cd on windows media player there's an error and it shuts down. i'm not very knowledgable when it comes to computers, but my friend suggested it could be a driver problem? is there any way to tell/fix this problem?

My computer has 256MB of RAM, and has been reasonably OK until recently - now opening Internet Explorer and loading a website takes 10 minutes.. and that's no fault of the boradband connection. It's the same deal with every program on my computer, even when there is no other programs open. Also my computer seems to be running alot of processes, most of them 'system' processes. SVCHOST.EXE (whatever this means) appears about 5 times in task manager. Can someone please tell me what I can do to get my computer running how it used to - faster.

Is this normal and okay? I went to unplug it, and in the middle of the charger is the box and it was really hot.
I'm pretty sure that when I had charged it before in a different spot, it wasn't that hot.

i just filmed a movie using a songy handycam minidisc. i forgot to unfinalize the disc and the camera is at school. is there a way i can finalized the disc at home without the camera?

I would really appreciate it if someone could please name me some downloadable photoshop programs. I had corel paint shop pro 8 but it was only a trial and I want to see what else is out there before I buy it. I would like it to be something I can do a free download on so I can give it a shot first. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

sometimes when im looking up a specific region, if i zoom in, it gets very fuzzy (as opposed to some regions where it is crystal clear.. you can ever see cars, etc)..

is there any way to get rid of these fuzzy spots?

for some reason i couldnt watch videos off of the net or play yahoo pool anymore.....i re-installed windows to delete everything and re-downloaded java and all that but when i try to watch a video it says to check all network boxes and configure for webpage which it is and it still doesnt work...i cant figure it out how do i get it to work again? i thought re-doing your system made it like brand new and everything would work right again??

Landed a great new job but why am I so stressed out
Is changing jobs always stressful? I have been going to college part time for the last three years and still have another year or two but I applied for a entry level posistion even though I didn't meet the all the requirments and didn't have any first hand experience other than coure/book work but they said you hired you will learn. I am very excited but worried also. The job is a technical support specialist for a very large hospital with great pay and benifets but I am worried that I am setting my self up for failure even though everyone in my family said I will do great and learn as I go. I explained to the director that even though I have had all the classes I have had no first hand experiance troubleshooting or working a technical help desk but he said I will get plenty of first hand experiance. I am worried that they may expect me to be more knowledgeable than I am even though I explained I haven't done anything first hand. They have a 90 day probation period and I worry that I might not make the cut in those 90 days.

From the way I took it I will be just doing minor things when one of the other employees are having small probelms with pc's or printers and if it is something major the experts will handle it. I have took three years of classes and always had a 3.5 GPA or higher but I really don't feel that I have learnt anything and have forgotten a lot of what I did actually learn. Also I am really stressed about things like Insurance for the family and trying to figure out the best and most affordable health coverage because I am going to have to get a family plan from a outside source for two months. I am going to really miss some of my coworkers that I hunt and shoot with and probably won't see them much anymore. Also the building is so big I get lost in it, there are six floors and over 400 rooms that is gonna be a major change for me also.


I guess I am just worrying to much and need to just be happy, also I guess its true that most you learn in college you forget , my wife says that they aren't gonna turn me loose and expect me to know everything and they will train me but I am a worryer by nature big time.

Anyone else get so stressed and worrried when changing jobs

Can someone help me please, my cousin is using windows 2000 proffesional, on a computer she got from her sister, its a very old pc, anyway, she wanted me to make a user account in her own name but somehow i've buggered it all up and now she cant even log in, it tells her the user name and password is wrong. Is there a way to bypass the log on section so she can use her computer. She only just had cable installed this morning and hasnt used it yet so she's awfully annoyed with me.

Last month my husband called me when i was on the computer and a box prompted saying you have a call would you like to take the call well i never put a program in to my computer to detect the call and to prompt the box but it was nice to have. My husband tried to call me today and the box did not prompt up why, i did not down load any special program to do that and i did not delete or disable any programs , did the phone company some how send that pop up. I don't get it. Or does xp have a auto detector for incoming calls that i don't know of.
