my mouse is broken. I'm using the number pad for mousekeys, and I'm alt-backarrowing and ctrl-tabbing all over the place.

what useful windows keyboard shortcuts do you know?

thanks guys. all this is useful info.

one correction - Win+E opens Explorer. you can also use Win+F for Find.

I should have said that I already know most of the common shortcuts - like cut & paste, undo, alt-f4 etc. I'm just looking to increase my knoweldge!

here's one for you - Alt+f5 refreshes the page (in Internet Explorer at least)

keep up the good work!

CTRL Z is my absolute favorite! If I'm writing somthing, and I make an error, I can use that to reverse what I just did. Oh yeah, CTRL C and CTRL P, copy and paste are my favorites too!

I use Firefox.. for that alt + T opens a new tab, alt + w closes a tab

For everything though, alt + F4 closes programs and if you hit it when programs are open, it will bring you to the shut down menu.

Ctrl + Alt + Del is the one combination that all people in Windows should use since it is needed a lot.

Using Shift + Tab will make you tab backwards if you need to do so, such as on sites where you sign up or in Excel. Same goes with Shift + Enter if you need to go back using the enter key in Excel.

What was said above, ctrl + P doesn't paste, it opens up the print command. But Ctrl + V is what pastes.

windows key + L to lock your computer. I use this atleast 10 times a day...

Windows key + W to open up windows explorer

I have my personal shortcuts, like press windows key + 1 to open word... tip: right click on any short cut and in the shortcut key type 0 to 1 number.. that will be the shortcut

all the best...
