where do i find the CV# on a visa?

On the back of the card, you'll see a long string of numbers that has been printed on after the card was "pressed." The last three or four digits are the CV code for that card. Some cards require three; others require four; usually the web site will tell you how many to enter. If it doesn't, use the last three.

It's the 3 digit code on the back of the card, usually on the signature box that appears after the entire card number. This number helps prevent fraud by proving that you physically have the card in front of you when making an online purchase.
