My comp is acting funny, letters are changing fonts, images don't show and I got a "6" showing where the scroll down arrows usually are on the top toolbar. Anyone knows what is doing that and how to deal with it?

i've heard from somewhere that even when you deleted the files and empty the recycle bin, that file is still somehow stored in your computer. how do you completely delete that file from your system? i am selling my laptop and i dont want my buyer to be able to retrive these deleted files. i know there are ways to retrive these files if you're a tech geek or if u install some software. so do you know if there's anyway i could completely delete the files from my computer/hard disk/system?

Thanks ..right clicking display did get me where I should be....but that slider will not move for me it is frozen to low...no matter what I do I cannot budge it..don't know why...

I know that in somecases you can use computer restor but it did not woork but it dose say that there issome thing in the recycel bin even though i dont see anything. also id i click cler bin it askes if i want to deledt the 2 files ( cant see em tho) just wonderin if there is a way or aprogram that i can use to gitem bak thx

How do I know what should and shouldnt be there? When I go to start, run, msconfig then startup to delete some - It says that I have to be logged in as administrator. I only know what 3 or 4 of them actually are. What should I delete? Or should I go n see a techie?

Since I got my new laptop and downloaded iTunes on Vista, whenever I click on 'iTunes Store' I have a message box that states "iTunes could not connect to iTunes store. Make sure your network connection is active and try again."

Do not know what the problem is, any help, reasons and advice will be gratefully received!

I'm trying to download Themes for my Nokia 6111, but every time i try it comes up with

File Type: Unknown

Description: Windows does not recognize this file type.

I've been able to do it before no problem, so i can't understand why it won't work, and it's driving me crazy now,any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you! x

I had my keypad changed on my laptop yesterday. When I turn on the computer and it boots up -- I get this error. Quote: "You do not have permission to change CATALYST Control Center settings. Please contact your administrator for future help".

Who would this "administrator" be? Me ... Tech Support.. My computer repair guy-- who?

Also ... my wireless adapater has been lost. When looking the the Network Connections ...there isn't anything there. That panel is empty.

Mind ... I had wireless before I took the laptop in for repair!

I just need to know who to call for support ...or should I take my laptop back to the shop and ask them why this is happening?

When the device is plugged in it wont light up,and is not displayed as a drive in my computer section.
I have checked in device manager and it says the device is working ok,and it has in the past.
In tweak it however it shows E drive with a ? mark over it.
I am running win xp.with all up dates this is the second time this has happened. Tweak it fixed it last time by hightlighting the drive, and when i restared it appeard. Alas not this time.can anyone give me a step by set fix.

We basically need a computer that has a lot of memory, a good video card. It needs to run microsoft programs (word, powerpoint, excel, publisher, access), store a lot of music and photo files, allow my mum to run her online buisness without any delays (does that rely on the processor, if so we need a fast one), and plus it has to run high-tech games such as The Sims 2, Black and White 2, and battlefield 1942. We are also thinking of getting Windows Vista - I've heard that many people don't like it, is this because it's hard to understand at first or does it have actual problems.
We also want wireless internet- which one would you say is best?
Finally- we want to get a wireless keyboard and mouse. Are there any problems with these?

Which computer do you think will be best for us?
We would preferably want to get the computer from these shops:

I have 3 drives in my computer C : D:, E: . but when I open my computer I can C and D without E.
If in run or address write E: it will open . but when I open my computer I can not E. I have XP Home edition windows.
