I have Windows XP proffesional edition with Service pack 2. I have connected with Intel pentium 4 of 1.8 GHz with 256 MB of RAM, My PC takes long time to boot u, when i start my computer, then the screen " windows XP loading" comes up, but it takes long time load i, and after that the screen goes blank for 4 minutes then the main user selection mode comes. I have updated the windows Xp also, used Autopatcher XP, and i also run microsoft bootvis, but it couldnt help. I want you all to help with the best of your ability. If you all hel it, ill encourage all of you to give my best answer in any other topics. Thanks and best regards.

In laymen's terms, what is a "backdoor" in computer systems? I'm not technologically savvy and most descriptions I've found have too much jargon for me to fully understand. What's its purpose and what does it do? Do all computer systems come with backdoors or is that something created by the user? If you're in somebody else's backdoor, do they then have access into your backdoor/system? Does this compromise security? How can you tell if someone's accessed your system? How much damage can be done if somebody else is able to enter your backdoor? Is there any way to prevent that?

okay when u go to the Comast homepage thing, it tells u to log in if u have high speed internet. so i put in the username and the password and its not letting me log in. so i think "maybe i changed the password and just forgot" so i go and change the password and i STILL CANT LOG IN. please someone help me figure this out

Whenever i write something to search on google, yahoo or any other site my computer remembers the search words and whenever i search the same words again my computer show the words to me before i write iot completely. i dont wan to see my search words and dont want my computer to remember them because other people use my computer. how to remove them or how to stop it??? I have a 1300 MGz (1.30 GHz) CPU. I'm looking at it the mozilla firefox software and the file is only 5.69 MB. So why is it not downloading b/c I only see a 1% download success rate. I mean whats up with that, I've been waiting for about 30 min and it still has 1% download success rate.

Just to make sure the the firefox download center isn't screwed up, I'd tried downloading the window media player 9 from it's website and it is taking a long to load up onto the next page to download.

So whats wrong with my computer?

Does it has anything to do with my RAM which is 512 RAM. So someone help me bc I r/m using my laptop and it wasn't this slow.

I have the serial, I want to verify the specs. I have tried the apple site and I get "cross - platform" specs for a range of units, but I want to know fot this specific unit.

FYI, I am purchasing this second hand. I know how to get the serial and verify the contents on the MAC, however, i know of some sites that provide this for you, however, I am unable to remember them at this time..

I need this information asap, so 10 points for the fastest response that gives me what I am looking for....

In my family we have two macs that connect to the internet through one of those bluetooth things (without cords, to the same ethernet). When both of our computers are connected to the internet, only one of us can use our Microsoft Word. If we try to open word on the other computer as well, it tells us that this copy of word is registered to the other user.
Therefore the only way to use Word on both computers is if one of us disconnects from the internet while using it.
Are we in violation of something?
