I just started using utorrent and it says at the speed guide that my port is not open. How does one know what port is open and what number?

My logger states that it can't map the upnp port.

You need to open the port on your router under the port forwarding section.

Log in to your router by going to 192.168.1.1 (or maybe 192.168.0.1) - enter Admin Admin as username/pass.

Usually port forwarding is under the advanced setting tab.

You need to know what port your torrent software is using, and enter that port in the Port Forwarding section of the router setup.

uTorrent is a decent torrent program and can really easily test your port for you. Just start a torrent and click on the yellow triangle at the bottom. A box will pop up and tell you what port it is trying to use, and will also test for you. If I remember, it also has links to help you in that box as well.

Check your firewall, could be blocking the program...
