Is there any place inside my computer that keeps passwords?
I am having a hard time with those "alternative emails", "security questions"... Because most of them I have forgotten, since this never happened to my puter.

Is there any file or "dunnohowtocallit" place inside my computer that i can find passwords?

use examples with XP, and most likeable with 2 hard drives, or whatever would make it real easy to understand.
i know logical drives are contained in extended partitions, and we have primary partitions, but hw do we work with them in real life.

I downloaded IE 7 and now I am getting a warning that it is advisible not to download a trusted sight that I have been using on my job for a long time. My supervisor had me install IE 7 because I have had been unable to log onto this sight recently. Do you think it would be safe to log onto this sight in spite of the warning not to? The warning says the sight has not been validated or the validation has expired. Could the problem be because IE 7 is more discriminatory than Internet Explorer?

Hi, i'm getting system type pop ups whenever i go to any sites that have quicktime based videos or similar on the page. They say... "an error occured inside a plug-in contained on this page" followed the by another that says "the plugin did not initialize properely". I am unable to watch any quicktime files on web pages but i have the latest quicktime, it's even quicktime pro and worked fine until i got the update for windows explorer 7. i also know of another person with a brand new laptop who has this same problem..

I downloaded a movie that's in avi format and tried to burn it onto a dvd-r disc but Nero said there wasn't enough space. It's a 4.7GB disc and the movie is 690 MB (724,303,872 bytes). When i tried to burn the dvd, Nero said the movie was taking up 4.37GB of 4.38GB, which i thought was too much, but i guess i was wrong. I've recently been told that since my movie is AVI, my dvd player won't play it and Nero isn't going to burn it correctly, so can someone please help me! My dvd player won't even read the discs that i've previously used, but i had burned a few movies a few months ago that work on my dvd player so i know that's not the problem. So can someone please help me? I'm pretty computer illiterate so i'll be needed almost step by step instructions, please.

I want to upgrade again, its been about a year and a half and my video card is going but id rather just get something top of the line again since i'm filthy rich :)

But the problem is, what do I do with my old computers? I never know what I can do with them aside from throwing them out completely. Isn't there anyway to do trade ins or something on parts?

I think it may be adware or something and I looked up the site and it said unauthorized entry. I am skilled with computers and do not download any junk and it just appeared last night when I started my computer. I am scanning my computer with Norton and if it finds anything I will delete the question. But any help is appreciated.

and my router is a NETGEAR WGT624 v3
im not sure how to configure it, ive already installed the modem, and its fine but the router im clueless no idea how to install it and how to plug it in, im thinking that maybe i bought the wrong kind of router? should it be a usb router?

I am presently using Mozilla Firefox. Every now and then I get a huge blank space at the bottom of my screen. I have found that when I go to HISTORY and click on "Show in Sidebar" a sidebar appears on the left of the screen. Then, if I click on the red box with an X in it (the "tab") then the space at the bottom of the screen goes away. This is all very confusing. Can anyone tell me what is happening?

I am having problems trying to connect an Olympus MJU700 camera to a museum piece of a Compaq Deskpro PC still running Windows 98SE. I have downloaded and installed the required driver(s) from the Olympus website, but the PC (both Windows' My Computer and the Olympus Master software) cannot "see" the camera and the memory and inside it when you connect it. The USB ports are AOK - I've downloaded drivers for a memory stick and this works perfectly. Any bright ideas? Should the drivers be anywhere else other than the usual C:\Windows\System32\Drivers folder?

Somehow I came back to my computer and my To-Do list and Notepad and Headlines that were docked on the right side of my screen, that little sidebar thing, have disappeared. How do I get them back? I'm sure there's a really easy to way to get them back, because it's not a tough computer question, but I am a dolt about these things. Any new Vista users with any advice? Thanks.
