PLS HELP i need to configure my router CLUELESS?

Question

i dont know how to do it. well basically my modem is a SAGEM http://www.tiscali.co.uk/help/broadband/manualinstall.html

and my router is a NETGEAR WGT624 v3
im not sure how to configure it, ive already installed the modem, and its fine but the router im clueless no idea how to install it and how to plug it in, im thinking that maybe i bought the wrong kind of router? should it be a usb router?

i have an adapter with me usb adapter from the telephone line kind of port to usb..

you need to get a modem with a cat5 cable connector and run a line from the modem to the internet port of your router http://www.howstuffworks.com/home-network.htm
