I just got on must have bumped a key but now my internet window is playing full screen, i lost my search/url bar and my start bar went poof. so its just a plain screen no top and bottom bar. but when i go to my desktop everything is normal what did i do ? if any 1 can help i will give you massive kudos!!!!

I want to switch users. So what i do is I go to Start, and then log off, and there is supposed to be a switch users icon, but there isn't??? How do i switch users?

when u click on the folder after it downloads it says corrupted and when u extract it it says folder empty (which it isnt) I have tried 20 different sites and all the same outcome. My wife recently deleted java runtime from my pc could this be the reason? Also I have no idea about computers.

OK, my computer absolutely HATES me. About 2 weeks ago the internet has stopped working (when the computer was turned on and I tried to connect it said there was a connection but the internet actually only worked for about 5-10 minutes and then it displayed the usual annoying 'cannot find server'). So I re-installed Windows completely to see if that would work. My internet only works for about 10 minutes before happily cutting off. Completely. Please help me someone out there, it bloomin' bugs me because NOTHING's wrong with my cumputer and I don't know why it does it!! Ugh. Oh, one more thing. I don't have Internet Explorer 7 so...any ideas people because I AM STUCK! Baaa (X_X)

A little while ago, my mom posted a prayer on a forum. When she went to view it again later, someone had replaced the word "merciful" with number signs (########). What does that mean? She thought maybe someone felt it was inappropriate to put a prayer on a public forum, but why would they choose to cover up that one word? Do you have any idea why this may have happened?

Some of the file names in folders are changing to blue color from black. It started with the song folder and now some of the others too have changed blue. The computer is running pretty good. no freezes, no shut downs. I have scanned for Viruses and Spyware with Norton and Webroot, and its all OK. Could you tell me what is going on? Thanks.

I just had to reinstall my inspiron 1100's operating system :( and after I have everything back to "normal" my lcd screen is only at like 3/4 full to the size of the monitor. How do I get it back to full screen?

I know that you can setup Terminal Services on a computer that has Windows XP without having terminal services installed on the computer.

My goal is to network a computer in NY to a computer in NC. This will allow the computer in NY access to our server and manufacturing software here in NC. We have in the past used terminal services to do this. But our disk was misplaced and we no longer have it. My understanding is that you don't need it if you have a computer that has Windows XP. Please help!

Hello, I have sites in my computer that I like to enter. I put shortcut to them in my computer. When I click to these sites, They open by IE. How to change that let these site open by FireFox ? I try to click right click to choose ( open by...) but I see only ( open) that I can't change the program ! .. Please, help. Thanks

Hi, just a few minutes ago, I went to log onto my laptop and I couldnt get on. I havnt been using a password, but when I hit enter, it says the system could not log me on. My name is spelled right and I dunno what to do. Im an admin and the only one who could have touched the computer the whole time, nobody else did. If anyone could be of any help. Okay I have my profile on private so others cant get into it except for friends. But is there any way to block my self from seeing someone elses. This person and I have a lot of bad blood between us and I dont need to get into her profile due to its bad for my metal health. Yet I still am nosey... So if any one could tell a way to block her profile from even comming up, that would be great. And no dont just put, stop looking at her profile.... Every time I due I seem to have a phyiscal reaction due to my anger. This person has broken up my family. I really just dont want to look at her any more....

I have been working a Word 2003 document and all if fine apart from the fact that the right margin tab has moved way out for one paragraph yet the rest of the document is fine. How do I get it to move back again?

Recently when I'm typing something, e. g., word document, e-mail, etc., my cursor and the letters I type periodically disappear for 5-10 seconds at a time. If I keep typing everything I type appears at once after the 5-10 second delay. It's as if some program is running, and possibly saving my efforts. So far this has not caused me any problems, but it is annoying. Any suggestions as to the cause of this situation?
