I know that you can setup Terminal Services on a computer that has Windows XP without having terminal services installed on the computer.

My goal is to network a computer in NY to a computer in NC. This will allow the computer in NY access to our server and manufacturing software here in NC. We have in the past used terminal services to do this. But our disk was misplaced and we no longer have it. My understanding is that you don't need it if you have a computer that has Windows XP. Please help!

the main important benefit I see dwelling house windows XP over ninety 8 or 2000 is that that's greater "multimedia friendly". working example, in case you have a digital camera, you may particularly lots plug and play with dwelling house windows XP, yet you had to do many setting up and attempt to go searching for icons with a view to hook up with dwelling house windows ninety 8 or 2000. additionally the picutre slide practice that quickly comes with dwelling house windows XP is rather superb. the version between dwelling house windows XP dwelling house and expert version is that XP dwelling house version has constrained networking applications and professional version has greater. This distinction makes XP dwelling house no longer able to connect a "area" in an corporation community, yet XP professional version can. transforming into a member of a "area" or "lively itemizing" in an corporation community will enable you get many superb automatic application updates or virus secure practices in the adventure that your enterprise has able IT workforce who understand what they are doing. yet XP dwelling house version is solid adequate for dwelling house use.
