How do I get Live Messenger on my Mac?

I have tried downloading it off different sites and i get a lil icon but nothing happens... should I be doing something else?

I'm not sure what "Live" Messenger is, but here's the official site for Microsoft Messenger for Mac.

Live Messenger isn't (AFAIK) available for the Mac. You can try using other software, such as aMSN or Gaim.

download it and save it on the desktop. once its done downloading double click on it and run it...
