There us a line running acorss the screen that is blue, and you cant see underneath it. The open windows showing underneath and the start button are all 1/3 the way up the screen? HELP We are new at this, and dont understand the computer terms. Use English only, not computerease.

When I apply a theme to my desktop when I restart or Log Off it doesn't remember it and puts it on the modified theme. I am very knowlegeable about computers but this has stumped me for about a week. I tryed some registry modifications but nothing worked! PLEASE HELP!!!

i've noticed on more than one occasion, that after i've logged off the internet, that there will be nothing on the computer desktop except the screensaver. nothing-no tool bar with a start menu, no folders, no files, no shortcuts, not even one for the internet! is this normal? in these instances, i've had to shut down the computer manually, which probably isn't helping the situation.

Help :O! I was messing with a boot cd (http://cyti.latgola.lv/ruuni/index_en.html) and playing around with it and there was this option on it called Install Harddrive so being curious i clicked it and my laptop started making a weird clicking noise so i turned it off and when i restart it and try to go to windows it says "error loading operating system" I need help on how to fix this i know how to reformat it and everything but i am hopening for another way then that because i really really really really really need the information that is on this computer please please help Thank you

But its an 80gb disk and I only have aboput 20gbs of files on it as far as I know. How can I find our where all the memory is used up as I have five family users on the computer and lots of files. Alternatively, could it be a virus causing this?

I have done disk cleanup, but it only yielded 1gb of space. Many thanks

Here I was, early in the morning when I thought, "Hey! I might go play some Battlfield 1942".
Clicking the icon only came up with, "Please insert your CD", and inserting the CD (again) did nothing.
Now I look at My Computer and... Well both my CD and DVD drives have ceased to exist...
I have 3 phantom drives, "Morrowind Oblivion, Battlefield 1942 and Company of Heroes but no normal drives.

Ummm... Do any of you know how I may be able to fix this?

I cannot get the log files to email to my yahoo email account. The SMTP server address I am using is smtp.mail.yahoo.com. The rest is clear cut - my email address, password, etc. The other thing is the SMTP port - is it 25?
Every time I try it, my McAfee virus scan comes up with protocol errror. HELP! Please don't tell me I wasted my $!
