You could look for things that were misspelled by the seller, and therefor they wont sell for what they would if they were spelled correctly. You could make lots of money that way by purchasing and then re-selling with the proper spelling. If you want to just sell things yourself, you could go to garage sales and pick up things that could be worth money...dishes, old cameras, computers, etc., and then sell it on e-bay for more than the 25 cents you picked it up for. There are lots of ways to make decent money, it just sometimes takes time in the researching of things. Good luck!!

To sell Yes!!!!...are a lot of dumies that will pay more than $10..00 for an item that you bought from your corner dollar store... Also you can make a small fortune..from your real cost of shipping to the cost that you will charge. Now buying from E-bay is another story...because basically with little research any item that get sold in E-bay...you can find it someplace elsea lot cheaper.... real cheaper with no shipping CHARGE.So Dummies keep buying and smart fellow networkers keep selling....as they say every civilasation needs stupid people so the Goverment can fuction- Smile. I mint something else...in the last word if the t was a k and eliminate the last 3 letters...then you have the real message.

Make sure to keep an eye on whatever you are bidding on until the last second. A few days ago I was bidding on something and for a few days I was the highest bidder. Then with five, FIVE seconds until it ended someone outbid me by ten dollars.
Man I'm pissed! Also, if you get messages in your personal email box titled "message from eBay member" don't even open it.
It's someone pretending to be a seller, but they just want your money.

Tip: ALWAYS pay with a credit card. Your purchase is insured against fraud.
If anyone demands certified check or money order, refuse to send a payment. If he complains, tell ebay you were concerned about security, and they'll drop anything against you.

Paypal buyer security? A bluff. If the seller has no money inhis account,Paypal won't issue a refund to you. And it is your loss

if you're doing a store, make sure you check your keyword/search words, get a variety of items with different price levels, sell some at auction and some in store inventory, put as much information as possible in your listings, including measurements, sizes, etc. keep your prices reasonable. make your site as attractive as possible, you can do it even just with the tools Ebay provides. try to get feedback; even buy things with your account just to get some feedback. finally just stick with it; it takes awhile to get going. (we're new too, but have learned from a store we used to have, and also from advice from other stores).

yes, fair shipping. we always charge the exact amount for shipping. we give refunds if it turns out to be less. for sure, lots of stores charge ridiculous amounts for shipping, then some tiny amount for the item, and, apparently, people actually go for this, as if they are getting a deal.

I get ripped on shipping! I still bid/buy but I hate to be charged $4 for shipping and the package comes with an .85 cents postage stamp on it.

Because everyone has different experiences, it's best to go to the ebay site and find out for yourself. They have all the answers you need and you can even email them for more.
