" and @ are reversed and I have a # instead of a pound sign!?

No idea how it has happened but when I type shift 2 I get @ and when I type shift ' I get "...also, shift 3 gives me # instead of a pound sign?! Any ideas on how to fix this? My keyboard is on UK settings.

why won't scandisk work?

it freezes while "locating lost file fragmants".I have tried many times and it freezes in the exact same spot. when i tried to defrag it said i needed to scan for errors cause there is an error! I have windows me(i know i need to update pls don't tell me) i have done a virus check....what else can i do?

secure way to find out if i'm missing files?

When I run scandisk, it always freezes when it is searching for lost file fragments, is there any secure/safe way to find out what i'm missing, if anything?

startup disc help??????

If I make/use a startup disc with Windows me will i lose any info on my computer? My computer keeps freezing will this help? or at least be able to tell me what is wrong? and What happens when u reboot, is it the same as restarting? Will i lose any info if I reboot the computer?

Is it okay to delete temporary internet files on the hidden folder of local settings???

When i browse my PC there a lot of temp. internet files in this folder there are thousands can i delete it..?because some viruses i found goes into this folder...is it okay to delete the files in that folder??just like cookies..?
