I've had that problem on occasion. I agree it can be quite annoying. How often does it happen? Is it a daily occurrence? My first thought is that your browser may have flaws. So if you are using IE, install Firefox, make that your default browser and see if the problem goes away. Also I would do a disc cleanup, delete all the files in your Temporary Internet Folder, delete the history of websites you visited and finally do a disc defragmentation. Hopefully that will solve all your woes.

I'm repeating myself like a broken record but i have to do it again. Do a thorough clean up of your system by cleaning up your cache, deleting Internet files, cookies and history as well as doing a check disc and a defrag, then restart your computer and see what happens. Also, check and see if you need to increase your RAM. moreover, go to Tuneup Utilities site and download their free trial program and have it clean your registry automatically. And don't forget to do a thorough anti-virus and anti-spyware scan before doings anything else mentioned above.
Good luck

most internet explorer users that have that kind of problem uses pirated software. forgive me if i'm wrong but it's the only reason i can think of why your explorer refuses to respond. usually, pirated softwares make way for a spyware/viruses/etc to enter your system and gradually destroy your system.
