doesn't remember theme!?

Question

When I apply a theme to my desktop when I restart or Log Off it doesn't remember it and puts it on the modified theme. I am very knowlegeable about computers but this has stumped me for about a week. I tryed some registry modifications but nothing worked! PLEASE HELP!!!

Maybe the user does not have write permissions to save changes to the profile. Have you re-applied NTFS permissions on the C:\Documents and Settings\[user] folder? (Make sure to apply on all child objects.)
