any ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated. have already defragged and disk cleanup didnt help,thanks also would like to ask any suggestions on antivirus,firewall,spyware, stuff like that thats free. thanks again

Yesterday, I was on the computer and everything looked normal....came in last night and color is completely wrong!!! No 'true white'...It's almost a greyish pink.....yellow is almost bright orange, no purple what so ever....blue is a teal color!! I have checked all of my color options in the display section, but nothing seems to be changed. I have also checked the buttons on the actual monitor and they are not helping at all! I bought this computer brand new last december....should my monitor already be going out?? It's been less than a year!!! Someone told me it was my monitor gone bad because I have a picture slide show as the screen saver......they said it eats up my monitor!! Is this true?? I also turn my monitor off at night as not to 'burn' it up. If someone can tell me what's going on, I would appreciate it......or rather my eyes would appreciate it!!

I used to be able to send emails, but now I get an error 553 message for anything I try to send anywhere, and the message is "Sorry that domain isn't on my list of rcpthosts (#5.7.1)
Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?
I can send with no problems from yahoo mail

I am new to computers,and was running,AOL, free trial,everything was fine,Yesterday, I switched to Interenet Explorer,and some pics do not show up. just a box with a red x in it. I've tried right clicking on show pictures. It does not work, Since Aol is still free, I unhooked IE,and went back to aol, everything works fine.then I went back to IE and it's the same thing, some pics show up, some don't, WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX THE PROBLEM????

I was just messing about in the startup tab in msconfig and thought I'd have a browse around but when I got to the WIN.INI tab I found something pretty weird - I've taken a screenshot, does anyone have any ideas of what it could be? It's just a bunch of scrambled letters O.o

I'm not a mac user, so I need some help with a mac problem. I have a mac laptop (not sure what model it is) but the screen is badly cracked. My goal is to try to get the laptop to run on a regular screen while the laptop is closed. So is there any way to have a mac laptop closed and running?

when I log on to yahoo this " log on or sign in " pops up from AOL .. it just strated doing this a few days ago... its driving me crazy and it to slows down my log in to yahoo.

Like in a banner i mean. You know when you go to a web site and there are little things flashing and moving on it and you click and it takes you elswhere? Or even just the little looped videos people have on like myspace or whatever...i just NEED TO KNOW how i take a pic and make it animated

I have "record now" as a cd burner, I guess, and it has always worked. was able to record cd's with up to 20 songs per cd from my limewire mp3 files. It says, "finished successfully recorded" then I attempt to play the cd on my pc, and even in my car or anywhere else and there is no sound.....not able to even go to the next track .....only shows that one track was recorded and I can't even hear that. Please, what is going on and maybe what I can do to fix this situation....Sooo frustrating! Thanks for any advice you can give! Oh, also, it says that i need to download an updated version of windows media player, but I've already done that....please help!

Hi, i have a problem with a lot of programs in my computer, the thing is that like 2 weeks i formated my hard drive, everything was good but itunes, gta san andreas, etc. i can´t get in, and when I try is says that there is a problem and the probgam nedds to close and i can´t do anything, I reinstall the programs but anything passes, what can I do????

My daughters Dell desktop PC has encountered a problem. As of today she cannot start windows. The PC reconises that there is a problem and wont let her go any further than the black screen with the white writing right at the begining of start up. It then changes to a blue screen.
