I am facing a peculiar and annoying problem from a few days. Whenever, I open a folder placed on the desktop of my computer, I find another folder with the same name in that folder. For example, if I open a folder named as July, 2006, I would find that there is folder with the name July, 2006. When I click on this folder found within, I find that it contains the files present in My Document.

I have tried to solve this problem but could not get the success. How can I get rid of this nuisance, which is causing a great deal of inconvenience?

How do I fix this or make it go away? It says that the files contained in the folder should not be modified. I know well enough to follow that but how do I keep it from popping up everytime I turn it on?

I have surfed the net and all but never owned my own computer. I want a laptop but I am unfamiliar with Apple products. I just surf the net and listen to lots of music. Never used anything but windows in 10 years of computing. I want to be able to download and store lots of musicand may buy an mp3 player later. With apple will I be stuck with ipods only? Any probs with p2p networks? I dont know a lot about this, I am like a beginner. My friend, an IT pro walks me through everything but I learn fast.

Yesterday I asked a similar question, and got quick answers. Thought I had it solved...alas, no. That annoying door creak/slam thing is on both Yahoo toolbars, because I just switched back to the old one, and it's from Yahoo's own pop-up blocker program. Run the test and you'll hear the sound that's worse than fingernails on a chalkboard. Checked or unchecked, there's that SOUND. How can I turn that off? Just block the pop-ups is all...
