Are you running Norton? Mine was so slow, that I uninstalled and replaced it with free AVG and free Zone Alarm firewall and it runs at twice the speed now. Of course, you need to do all the usual maintenance on a regular basis - clean up (check that your hard drive isn't getting full) etc. Good luck!

The probability is that you have attracted a large amount of virus's that are slowing down your computer. They are making cookies and putting on programs that watch where you go on the internet...stuff like that.

I should know because that is what I do...for companies. We have ways of sneaking on your drive and then actually using it and you are not aware of it. Usually you give your permission to us by some fine print that we add to free things....like "wallpaper".

If you want to get your computer out of our hands and into yours...use "Spybot". Go to spybot.com for a free remedy.

could be alot of different things. try cleaning up temp files and defragging the drive. try easycleaner(free on majorgeeks.com). if its still slow try adaware personal and spybot search and destroy(also free and on same site). the next thing would be to try a anti virus program. that would be better to buy but u can try out some of the free ones. last resort would be to reformat your comp or use the backup disk that came with it. save all your stuff to cds before doing this so that u dont lose them

All of the above but if you use Tools top of the screen and Internet options and Select delete files you drop temporary files as you go and that should keep you up to speed and just for good measure I'd delete cookies too

you may have installed new software, the more programs install the more time it takes to execute tasks. Also loading so many photos and veiwing many web pages can. Finally, virus and worms (spy software) do slow computers.
first, delet all temp file, make sure you are virus free, check that your hard disk needs defragmenting or not.
good luck
