Search google for free data recovery software. But download and install free mcafee siteadvisor plugin for your browser before searching. It detects harmful sites from where you should not download.

Erased or deleted? If you deleted the folder go to your recycle bin and open it, the folder may still be in there and you can restore it. You may have a chance by going into search and searching for pictures It will show you all pictures still in the system. If the ones you want show up click on them and they will show up. Good luck!

If you use Secure Empty Trash it deletes file, then overwrites the sectors the files occupied. You can try an app called File Salvage. It scours hard drive, you can specify by file type. One of my instructors had told us the FBI forensics teams can read data off hard drives even after the disk has been wiped several times.

You can get software which allegedly recovers deleted data from MACS but unfortunately you will have to pay for this. It does however say that the demo will show your data before you buy, so you might want to try this - http://www.dtidata.com/recover_it_all_mac.htm
Also found this http://www.dtidata.com/recover_it_all_mac.htm
Google will have more listed but please be careful, some of them listed on Google have a red light warning from McAfee's Site Advisor (i.e. risky downloads). Good luck, I hope you manage to recover your folder.

Try to go into your deleted items folder, which could be called recycle bin, garbage, trash, or junk folder asap, then click restore or undo delete. Good luck.

Ouch. I know what your going through. There may be some programs out there that can help you recover your files that is if you didn't restart your mac yet. If you didn't restart yet you have a 50/50 chance of saving your files. If you did restart then its almost no chance now with basic computer knowledge.

sure you can :) if you delete something it doesn't really delete anything it only makes your computer thing that it was deleted, files get deleted when something is overwritten over them, go to www.download.com and search for 'unerase' and select 'Filter: Free' so it would show you the free onces,
good luck!!!

You will probably think this is stupid of ;me for asking but did you check your recycling bin. Everytime you delete something it is put in your recycling bin and then you have to delete it from there.
