Other - Computers - September 2006

Ok...I had this PC built this summer...xp installed. Before all the updates from windows, it worked with the mic and speakers. Afterward, the only way to hear was to plug into the modem directly.....And the mic won't work now either...not even in the modem. I have tried the wizard and test....everything...anyone have any ideas as to what is wrong or even how to fix it? Thanks in advance for all of your help!!!...ps....it won't let me pick computer as the category...grrrrrrr yahoo!!!!!

Sister's puter gets only 48.8 kbps, I have broadband, wonder download newest I.E. and save in zip file, or are there any other ways to do this? Would take FOREVER if we do it on hers...life is too short!LOL!!! Any help apprecitated.

1. Everytime i log into my yahoo account...i got messages The page cannot be displayed. There's nothing wrong about my internet connection (DSL), in other words i can still surf another website using my browser, but Only on yahoo i get this messages. Why?

Everything was fine, installed all the sims from one to last, it all worked, shopping, magic town, vacation, etc, then suddenly when i invited some one to go somewhere, my sims would not get in the taxi, she can go to magic town and old towm on the trolley, whats going on, anyone know?

Many kids and even teens are addicted to video games. This is a serious problem and can affect the child's physical, emotional and social health. He/ she does not play sports (usually), may not have friends and does bad in school. If anyone has any advice or comments please leave them. I may do a project on this topic.

For some reason my taskbar accidentally ventured to the right of my screen.
It happened on accident, I don't know how.
It is now vertical on my screen on the right.

I play a Computer online game called World of Warcraft. I am wanting to purchase a notebook/laptop but I am not sure what one I need. There are so many kinds out there does anyone have any suggestions?
