Okay, so I'm not sure if I totally understand it but here's the problem. I'm wanting to move an ENTIRE folder from my home desktop to a laptop. The folder has a multitude of folders within itself as well. I AM able to put it on my flashdrive and open it up on my desktop. Yet when I got to move it to my laptop or open it from the the flashdrive itself on my laptop it won't allow it.
What could be wrong?

just wanted to see if there is a trustworthy program out there. Or is there something already installed on the computer, that can shut off the computer automatically. Like a sleep timer on a television.

My computer is kind of slow n when im in the messenger the camara and the microphone dont work as they just to, they're too slow and the camara stops sending the image and the microphone dont work!!!!please someone help me is really urgent!!!!

When I go to shut down or start up my computer, the screen with the icons has changed. It went from a picture to a white screen with 4 big grey boxes going diagonally. It was normal a few hours ago. I have heard people talking about home pages changing if you have spyware. I don't know if that is the homepage though. Any suggestions?

Please check your internet connection to make sure a firewall or proxy is not preventing the device frome connecting to the content server. I have cable internet and turned off my firewall and it still did not work. Anyone know what I should or can do ?

and it is still slow

I am doing some early research on laptops. I am thinking on buying a new laptop within the next year. I have narrow my selection to 3 options:

Dell Inspiron
HP Pavilon
Apple Mac

I am attending Baylor University. Most of my classmate have a mac. Are macs really worth it? I know macs are better with viruses. I am not a gamer; however, I do like to use picture tools for editing. I do not want to spend more than 2K in my new laptop. Will an IBM better with the new Windows Vista? What software will I need for the mac besides the Office software? Overall, what is better for a college guy an IBC or a Mac?

I don't want to have to lug my laptop soley to charge the mp3 player! There is no other way to charge it except via USB port. I hope to plug it into a hotel computer overnight before my marathon. I need music cause I will be running HOURS.

I have a DVD of a play that I was in and I would like to make my friend a copy of it. I have a macosx with imovie, quick time player, and idvd. I need to know how do I make a copy of it using these programs. Also, it needs to be good quality please tell me if you know anything!!!

I am running my first marathon in Dublin, Ireland soon and love my mp3 player. It gets charged by plugging into a computer via my USB port. I really don't want to have to drag my laptop there, to potentially get stolen, since I just got it 2 months ago. I was hoping to bring the mp3, its cord, then plug into a computer at the hotel, just to charge it up the day before the race. Anybody know? Thank you very much...running without music would be absolutely horrible...especially that far (we are slow runners, so we will take every second of the 8 hours given!).

i got an email that said i had a relative in europe that died 4 years ago and the email was from his lawyer. he said that he could not find any of his family so i could have a percent of his inheritance. the man did have the same last name as me, and my last name is not very common. is this a scam or could it be true?
