When I go to shut down or start up my computer, the screen with the icons has changed. It went from a picture to a white screen with 4 big grey boxes going diagonally. It was normal a few hours ago. I have heard people talking about home pages changing if you have spyware. I don't know if that is the homepage though. Any suggestions?

Also if anyone knows. We have Modzilla Firefox. Is that an anti spyware program? My dad updates this computer, so I don't know what half this stuff is. :)

Go to http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search-Destroy/3000-8022_4-10401314.html
and click "download now".

You are downloading a program called Spybot - Search & Destroy.

You are describing a classic spyware attack and your system is under attack.

Run the program after you download it, install it, and then update it. Then immunize your system by pressing the "immunize" button and then scan the system for spyware. Delete all red objects, by checkmarking them.

Good luck.

Mozilla Firefox is a browser. It doesn't sound to me like you are very computer literate so if I were you, I would call your Dad and tell him about it since he is the one who updates your computer. Just shut down and wait for him to check it out.
