Sometimes adding more memory, defragging the hard disk, or reinstalling the operating system will help.

First of all go to the control panel and run 'Add or Remove Programs' and uninstall all the programs u dont need at all. Then run 'Internet Connections' and delete history and all the temporary files and all the cookies. Then go to 'Start up' from u'r programs menu. Now delete all the programs from there except Anti-virus (if there any). U should do another thing, go to C:\Documents and Settings\Your user name\Local Settings\Temp. This 'Local Settings' folder is hidden as default. Hope u know how to make it appear. Okay, delete all the files from the temp folders. Make sure no programs are running, not even Internet Explorer. Some of them may not wanna go, just let them be there and deal with them later. If possible re-install u'r webcam and reconfigure u'r microphone with yahoo once again.
I think now u'r computer is much faster. Still slow? I've got a better idea. But u've to sacrifice. U can restore u'r system (not u'r exactly, u'r computers). But the time it'll be restored, all other changes u made, programs u installed will be deleted and there's no way out to get them back. But I can guarrantee u, U'r computer will be mucchh more fast (if u restore it to a point when it was fast.) To do so,
Go Start-Programs-Accessories-System Tools-System Restore. Select 'Restore my computer at an earlier time'. Then u'll see something like a calender. Clicking on the arrow find out when u'r computer was real fast. It can be a day, a week or even a month. It's up to u. Clicking next go further. Then u'll have to give u'r computer some time.
Well, here we're done. Enjoy.
Good Luck.

You need to add more memory to your system. Close out programs that you don't need running in the background. You can do this by clicking on Start, Run and type in msconfig. Go to the Startup tab and uncheck the ones you don't want running. VirusScan and Anti-spyware programs take up a bit of memory. The programs you are using, the camera and microphone, are memory-intensive.

I have seen a question like this before. There are many things that might correct this, like antivirus software. Maybe if you search for questions in Yahoo! Answers with keywords like "computer" and "slow" you might find the answer you need.

I would advise against disabling all your startup options, first get rid of any spyware apps that might be running in the background. Ad-aware will take care of that.
