Hi, well the first thing I discovered is that it doesn't work with Firefox, so I'm going to try it in IE. I have version 6 fyi.

Since I don't know exactly what steps you are following, here's the procedure I'm following:
1 - go to http://www.yahoo.com (home page)
2 - log in with my Yahoo username and password
3 - click on "Music" in the left-hand toolbar OR click the "Radio" button in the upper-right-hand corner if you're using the new Yahoo home page. They both take you to the same place.
*** note: I'm going to use LaunchCast Radio for this example ***
4 - Select "Launchcast Radio" button (just point at it) then select "Radio Station Guide" from the menu displayed.
5 - Select a radio station. In this example I selected Today's Big Hits.
6 - A pop-up window comes up and detects your connection (and I think checks for which media player you have, it went by too quickly for me to see it), then starts playing the requisite advertisement, THEN starts playing the station.

IMPORTANT NOTE HERE: IF YOU DO NOT SEE THE POP-UP WINDOW WHERE THE LAUNCHCAST PLAYER LOADS, YOUR ISSUE IS A POP-UP BLOCKER. BE SURE YOU CONFIGURE WHICHEVER POP-UP BLOCKER(S) TO ALLOW. IF YOU'RE NOT SURE HOW TO DO THAT, JUST TRY CONTROL-CLICKING ON THE LINK TO THE RADIO STATION, THAT USUALLY BYPASSES MOST POP-UP BLOCKERS ON A "ONE-TIME" BASIS.

I'm not sure if the LaunchCast player uses Windows Media Player, it's own, or other. So I would recommend loading Windows Media Player and opening a music file to ensure it is working properly and your audio is working and not muted for example.

Another recommendation (which might not be required at all unless they are using Java for the Launchcast player) is to visit http://www.java.com and install or upgrade the latest java client. However, don't do this if you don't have to and/or java is not already installed on your machine.

I hope this helps. I'm groovin' to some tunes now. :-)

p.s. There is an option on the Launchcast page to create your own radio station based on artists you like and it's pretty cool. It also allows you to rate the songs that are played and will suggest others based on that. Yet another fun way to waste very large amounts of time, but if you have the time it's fun, and free.

Good luck.

If it's the yahoo jukebox thing, it's likely that it's Yahoo's fault. I've had nothing but problems with that program. If you're trying to get the online stuff to work, you might need a newer version of windows media player. Good luck figuring it all out.

it could be which you decide on updates from yahoo, often in case you want to play a music video on your browser and you haven't any longer have been given the final updates it won't take place something, the different reason could be that your connection is going very sluggish yet i'm going to declare that the reason being the updates.

Do you have a popup blocker? If so hold down the ctrl button and click on a station.
